Sill sealer is a must have if you are trying to replace a window. I tacked the vinyl in place with brads, and then fastened the cap piece to the oak sill with brass screws. Do i really need to fill those gaps with something substantial before sealing, or can i just seal them with. I'm planning to seal any gaps between the sill plate and foundation (and maybe insulate as well).
